The Sea Shell house is one of the coolest AirBnB properties on the map, and is nestled on Mexican Island “Isla Mujeres”. Back in the 90’s, an architect named “Eduardo Ocampo” moved to the island, and decided to build a home for his brother. His brother being the revered Mexican painter Octavio Ocampo, Eduardo had no intention of drafting anything other than extraordinary. After it was built, the locals concocted a remarkable legend regarding the origins of the house (you can read it on their website). Once booked, you’ll have access to the entire property, along with a private pool. It accomodates up to four people per night, and subtly houses families of cute gecko’s (which is fairly common in the area). While the neighbourhood is as peaceful as it gets, tourists find it hard not to admire the spectacular property! It costs $391 per night and includes wifi, two beds, and two themed bathrooms!
