The Quinta Real Zacatecas was originally a 19th-century bull-fighting ring, but it has since been refurbished into a luxurious 5-star resort. Located in the incredibly colorful city of Zacatecas, it has more history than a social studies textbook. Zacatecas has housed legendary rivalries between its enigmatic indigenous tribes, and awe-inspiring rebellions against European conquests. Zacatecas is littered with brilliant architecture, hilltop pyramids, and silver mines, which attracted the conquistadores to the region in the 16th century. The downtown area of this beautiful city is considered a UNESCO world heritage site and is but a walk away from the resort.
