In preparation for the summer of 2018, Nike released the ultimate ‘dad’ on vacation sandal: the Benassi “Fanny Pack Slides”. They’re branded with the iconic swoosh like every other Nike Sandal, but feature a neat little fanny pack on its strap. These pouch wearing sandals allows you to carry snack-sized essentials on your feet and come in a variety of vibrant colorways. The slides did have its critics, but they sold out nearly the instant they were released. Say what you want about Nike, but they accomplished what no other company has: they made fanny packs (on sandals) cool. In case you were wondering, “why?”, here are some of our theories:
