As the name would suggest, Dromoland Castle treats every guest like royalty. They may be listed as a ‘luxury hotel’ on Google, but that title isn’t nearly enough to account for their incredible history. Dromoland Castle has sheltered visitors since the 16th century, and has since been dubbed “Ireland’s most magical address”. It originally belonged to the O’Brien’s, a historical lineage that can be traced back to the High Kings of Ireland. Today, Dromoland Castle stands atop of 450 acres of real estate, and a notable golf course. It’s restaurant, “The Earl of Thomond” is a tourist attraction in its own right. The restaurant was awarded a Michelin Star in the late 90’s and is lead by the award-winning chef Jean Baptiste Molinari. If you’ve grown up adoring Disney royalty, this castle should definitely be on your bucket list.
